I approve of all of your new outfits. I got laid off on Monday so I am kinda stuck in "WTF do I wear every day when it is always Saturday" mode. I always made an effort to dress for work even though I have been WFH since the Pandemic but I am on Day 2 of Unemployment and just utterly confused. I am also determined to make my 2 months severance last as long as possible so I unsubscribed from every shopping related email I get and stopped my morning coffee routine of perusing the "Just In Overnight" sections of TJ Maxx and Marshalls. But you inspired me to make a list of things I can think about getting when I am financially able to justify them again.
Ugh, about the layoff :( I actually made more of an effort while I wasn't working, just hoping it would make me feel "successful" in some way? I am glad they offered severance, at least. I also didn't know there was a "just in" section on those sites, whoops.
Honestly, the list-making thing really helped. A lot of times, my buying impulse is driven by false scarcity, and really... nothing is all that scarce. Even secondhand stuff, as it turns out.
